Trigger Point Injections
This type of pain management relieves stiffness in muscles. Your doctor will use a small needle to target any knots, which will cause the muscle to twitch. The needle will stimulate the damaged muscle and encourage it to relax.

Similar to cervical epidural steroid injections, the cervical transforaminal epidural steroid contains an anti-inflammatory to help with your pain. This injection is administered close to the site of inflammation or to the side of the spine where the nerve exits.
Radio Frequency Denervation
A patient with a facet joint injury may benefit most from radiofrequency denervation. Also known as RFD, radiofrequency neurotomy, and radiofrequency rhizotomy, this treatment consists of administering a needle into the affected nerve of the joint to relieve pain.
Medial Branch Block
One of the best treatments for acute back pain is a medial branch block. This is an injection delivered into one of the nerves located in the joints between your vertebrae, known as facet joints. A pain specialist will inject a strong local anesthetic into the nerve, helping numb your back pain.
Lumbar Treatments
